While it was originally just a show car, Dodge could not hold back the customer demand to see the Viper go into production. In cooperation with legendary car designer Carroll Shelby, the Dodge Viper is an extreme machine. Under the hood is a massive 8.0 liter V-10 engine connected to a 6 speed transmission. The Viper reestablished Dodge as a performance leader.
