Fujimi 30004 1:48 Focke-Wulf Fw 190A6-9 Manual
The Fw. 190A is unique among World War 2 German aircraft
in that it was their only single-seat fignter utilizing an air-cooled
engine. Powered by the BMW 801 (14-cylinder two-row air
radial) series engine, the FW. 190A was a fast,maneuverable,
versatile, and highly efficient interceptor and
attacker. Principal changes in sub-types (A-6 thru A-9) are as
follows.
Fw. 190A-6:
Optional outboard 20mm MG151/20 wing cannons, replacing the previously fitted 20mm MG FF/M cannons
Fw. 190A-7:
Fuselage cowl mounted 7.9mm MGi7 machine guns were replaced with 13mm MG131 machine guns, necessitating a fuselage cowl change.
Fw. 190A-8:
Powered by the 1700hp BMW 801D engine,replacing the A-1's 1600hp 801C powerplant.
Fw. 190A-9:
Test aircraft equipped with the 2000hp BMW 801F engine.
Various other versions may be completed.
