This set features assembly kits of the I-16, the first "Hei Type" large submarine, and the I-58, the first "Otsu Type" long-range reconnaissance submarine. The models depict the I-16 carrying a midget submarine during the Pearl Harbor attack and the I-58 at the time she sank the heavy cruiser USS Indianapolis. Both models feature sharp details such as periscopes and deck guns.
